Rich Dad Poor Dad
Rich Dad's Cashflow Quadrant

by Robert kiyosaki

Did you know that in business, your beliefs are more important than your knowledge or skills ?

Rich Dad Poor Dad and Cashflow Quadrant by Robert Kiyosaki are very good books from the world of mainstream financial self-improvement and are interesting choices for a newsletter dedicated to spiritual abundance. But if you set aside any discomfort you may have with “getting rich” and read these books like a novel, as a story, then I think you may find them an enjoyable and possibly empowering.

Robert Kiyosaki had two father figures growing up in Hawaii, one never finished the eighth grade, but became one of the wealthiest men in Hawaii, while the other was highly educated and had a very successful career in education, but always struggled financially. In these books we hear the stories of Kiyosaki’s youth as he tries to understand the world through the eyes of his two very different fathers. He comes to the realization that what you believe about money and how you think about money is more important that what you know about money.

In Rich Dad Poor Dad, Kiyosaki focuses on simple patterns in financial literacy where by understanding a few simple diagrams you can understand the difference between spending money and investing money.

In Cashflow Quadrant, Kiyosaki focuses on what you think and believe about your career and your money. His Rich Dad said that in business there are four kinds of people : Employees, Solo Business People, Business Leaders, and Investors.

Employees believe that they need a boss to tell them what to do next.

Solo Business People believe that they must do it all themselves.

Investors believe that it is their job to pick winners and losers and back the winners.

Business Leaders believe that true power and wealth comes from empowering others to be their best and leading them in a common cause.

In my work with Shamanic Wealth & Healing, I have found that there are three kinds of barriers (practical, psychological, and energetic) between these four kinds of people. In order to change from working for others to leading others you must learn new things (practical), you must release the limiting beliefs that no longer serve you (psychological), and you must shift your energy so that you can Be the new kind of person you want to become (energetic).

If you would like to make the transition to being a Business Leader or an Investor these two books are an excellent place to start and Lunar Reflections will help you keep your dreams grounded in the Cycles of Nature so that you don’t lose your connection to Spirit as your real world abundance grows.
