Don’t let the title put you off a good read. Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting: The Astonishing Power of Feelings by Lynn Grabhorn tells you how it’s not the feelings you have in life, it’s what you do with them that makes the difference in getting what you want.
Lynn Grabhorn’s book Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting: The Astonishing Power of Feelings © 2000 came highly recommended years ago by someone whose opinion I valued, but I never could get past the title “Excuse Me”. It sounded demeaning to me in some way, like I really wasn’t taking charge of my life, when I thought I was. However, having finally read this book, I realize how much more I can get out of my life by following the simple practices of the law of attraction.
This book dispels the myth or belief that things come to us by some stroke of good/bad luck, accident, coincidence, or some other mechanism. Instead, the law of attraction creates each day of our lives like attracts like. Unfortunately, our energy systems is usually not a constant, well-aimed magnet of what we want to attract in our lives, but instead it is a jumble of different emotions that ping-pong all over the place. The result? A life of pandemonium.
The author offers a four-step process of break out of this pandemonium to create the life you want.
1. Identify what you don’t want.
2. Identify what you do want.
3. Get into the feeling place of what you do want.
4. Expect, listen, and allow what you do want to happen.
Separate chapters go into more detail to help you feel what she is explaining. These concepts are easy to conceptualize intellectually. But that’s not the point. You need to get these concepts at the feeling level to change your energy system to attract the life you want.
Remember, it’s not the feelings you have during your life, it’s what you do with them that make a difference in getting what you want. So stay tuned in and tune up your feelings.
