Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese theory of placement that explains the flow of energy in a space. The theory is that with optimal flow the mirrors the energies (or luck) of the earth, you can bring yourself into alignment with these energies and allow them to enhance your life. In this way Feng Shui can assist if you find yourself with a lot of bad luck, while Feng Shui can also assist you to capitalize on good luck you have.
In Feng Shui, you combine its theory with the land formation on which your home resides and shape of your home to construct good energy flow (chi). When reading about Feng Shui, the language is often one of “good luck” and “bad luck” which can be easily translated to energy you want and energy you want to diminish in your home. You’ll find that homes in the United States are not designed with the principles of Feng Shui unlike places in the China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, and it may feel like you’ll have to move to another location before your luck improves. So rather than getting hooked on any one belief that doesn’t apply to your home because of its construction, allow yourself to be creative about shifting energy in new ways.
There are lots of skeptics that don’t believe that Feng Shui works, and that’s fine too. What if you allowed yourself to be skeptical AND you also made a few changes, just to see what might happen? You might find it change your beliefs about its effectiveness. Is it worth a try?
