Ducks Fly Moon, October 6


 

 

The Ducks Fly Moon is after the autumnal equinox and signals a change of energy from the active Spring and Summer seasons to the slower energies of Fall and Winter seasons. Now is the time to reflect on your accomplishments of the most recent growing season. Allow the shift in longer nights and shorter days to assist you in reflecting on what have you accomplished, or not, during this recent season.

The Ducks Fly Moon is after the autumnal equinox and signals a change of energy from the active Spring and Summer seasons to the slower energies of Fall and Winter seasons. In general, the Fall season is a time of introspection and reflection on the year’s efforts, successes, and failures. Then the Winter season is a time of rest, rejuvenation, and renewal as you prepare for the next growing season that begins in the Spring.

It may be difficult to go from the full steam ahead energies of the bright summer sunny long days to a slower more reflective time. But remember that it’s impossible to sustain those energies without intervals of reflection and rest. So allow the shift in longer nights and shorter days to assist you in this transition to slow down your energies. Also allow the cooler temperatures or other weather changes to remind you of these shifting energies – and follow along.

Since one of the purposes of the Fall is to reflect on the accomplishments of the most recent growing season, a great way to shift your energies from the active Summer time to the Fall is to catalog your recent successes. Of course, you also want to catalog any failed attempts as well. We can learn by our successes as well as our (perceived) failures.

When you consider what your successes have been, examine various categories of successes. For example, what worked well? What are you grateful for? What can you acknowledge or praise about yourself? What can you celebrate?

With a list of accomplishments and things to be grateful for or to celebrate, you can create some affirmations to use to reinforce what you’ve done. Affirmations are positive, personal statements in the present tense that when said out loud help to reinforce that energy in your body, so that you can continue to attract that energy to yourself.

The best form for affirmations are as follows:

“I’m creating the possibility that ____<your affirmation statement here>____.”

Or for example, “I’m creating the possibility that I can strive for wealth and be happy and spiritual.”

You want your affirmations to be positive statements; therefore never use a “not” in an affirmation. By adding the “I’m creating the possibility” clause, you create positive statements now, which ultimately creates that belief itself within you.

Lastly, your affirmation must be a true statement or as you say it, you create a conflict between your statement and your energy body.
