Building a Mesa Class Series
Environmental Harmony (www.envharmony.com) presents a new series of classes for those that want to build a mesa.
A mesa represents and can assist you on your spiritual journey. This powerful series of classes can transform your life and empower you in the ways you want to become.
The mesa is an embodiment of you, representing your path of spiritual self-learning. The mesa itself is really quite ordinary in that it is composed of a mestana (woven cloth) bundle of rocks from various locales. However, its quality is empowered first by the power places where you will have gathered the stones, and second, by the ritual of yanachaqui, which awakens the pururunas (stone persons) to their new healing/spiritual role, infuses them with specific medicine, and establishes a powerful, healing relationship between you and them, after which the quyas (stones) can be placed in your mesa. In addition, the ayni karpays or initiation rites of transmission you will receive link you to your mesa and to the lineage of shamans that have gone before you, in this case, the Peruvian shamans of the high Andes.
The medicine or power or energy in your mesa can be used to assist you on your spiritual path -- to help you learn and grow, to help you align your energies with the energies of the universe, and to bring harmony and health to yourself. Your mesa's qualities and ability to help you along your path derives from the initial work to build your mesa and how you spend time with your mesa in the days and years to come. Therefore, your mesa is a reflection of the collective power from the different places where the quyas (stones) and mestana (cloth) originated combined with how you have worked with your mesa. As a spiritual practice, working with your mesa becomes a practice that grows with you throughout your life and throughout your life experiences, assisting you all along the way.
The next series of classes begin Fall 2007. Price $400/season. Classes meet one evening a week for a month during which you would build the foundation of your mesa for that cardinal direction. All four directions and your mesa would be completed in 12 months, as follows:
South: Sept 2007 - West: Jan 2008 - North: Apr 2008 - East: Aug 2008
