Receiving is its own act of abundance.
It is part of the cycle of reciprocity that begins with giving, continues with asking, and closes the cycle with receiving. So as this calendar year comes to a close, open yourself up to receive without expectations and without attachments. Then stay open to receive through the next growing season.
In the time of stillness and quiet of the Winter Solstice, the earth appears to still, or stop, on its path around the sun. This is a perfect time to practice stillness yourself, because from a place of stillness it is easier to receive.
Receiving is its own act of abundance. It is part of the cycle of reciprocity that begins with giving, continues with asking, and closes the cycle with receiving. For some receiving can be difficult, because you may be caught up in the mode of always giving.
But there are two main lessons on the best way to receive: receive without expectations and receive without attachment to what you do receive. The way to do this is to consider what you need, let go of any expectations or let get of what you think you need, remaining unattached to the outcome of receiving. Then receive what the universe brings. Usually you will find yourself far happier with what you receive and find that your expectations have been exceeded. In a strange twist of logic, when you remain unattached to the outcome of receiving, you will probably find you get more than you expected.
So as this calendar year comes to a close, open yourself up to receive without expectations and without attachments. Then stay open to receive through the next growing season.
